84 hours without power!!! and snow in October!

My poor tree

Friday morning

Well after 84 hours without power, things are getting back to normal, I got up at 5 when the power came on this morning to tackle the mountain of laundry that built up over the past 4 days. The kids and I spent 2 nights at my mom's staying warm and entertained while Dan held down the house and his parents house 5 min away, They picked the perfect time to go on vacation!!!
We had to go to Burlington to get a generator as there wasn't one anywhere to be found in this area!
I am tired and do not know how people lived without power so many years ago, it is something we sure take for granted! and this morning I couldn't love anyone more than the hydro guys who have been working round the clock to restore power to our home and city!!!

Nice to hear you're back in your 'toasty' home and looking at that snow from the inside out. Hope it disappears quick.

Oh Kimmie!! That is a long time to be without power!! I hope you are warm and toasty and in clean clothes today!! And I hope some of that snow disappears before more (inevitably) comes.

Glad to have you back with us and that you made it through. It really makes us realize how dependent we are on electricity.

WOW I had no idea that your area was out of power for so long. Totally don't know how they did way back then. Thank goodness the tree didn't fall on your house.
